We are excited to now offer Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) scans at SageMED.
CIMT is a quick, painless ultrasound that measures the thickness of the inner layers of the carotid artery, the artery in your neck that supplies blood to your brain. It provides another way to look at vascular health alongside standard labs, risk calculators, and family history.

CIMT may be helpful for people who want a closer look at their cardiovascular risk, including those with borderline or intermediate risk, a family history of early heart disease, or those interested in establishing a baseline as part of a longevity plan.
