Cassandra Sherman, MA, MS, LMHCA, CN

Integrative Mental Health Therapist, Certified Nutritionist
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology | Master of Science in Nutrition

Cassandra is an integrative mental health therapist and certified nutritionist providing whole-person care for teens, adults, and couples, empowering emotional well-being, physical health, nutrition, relationships, lifestyle, and personal values. She believes mental health is deeply connected to the way we experience our bodies, relationships, physical health, environment, and sense of meaning. Her approach to counseling is integrative and whole-person, drawing from her dual graduate training in Counseling Psychology and Nutrition to help clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but also the many factors that may be contributing to it.

She works collaboratively with clients to identify patterns, build practical tools, and create meaningful, sustainable change. Rather than relying on a single therapeutic approach, Cassandra integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and somatic and nervous-system-informed practices. She especially enjoys helping clients bridge the gap between intellectually understanding themselves and actually feeling, experiencing, and responding to themselves differently.

Cassandra can help with:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, and feeling overwhelmed

  • Trauma and nervous-system regulation

  • Depression, low motivation, and feeling "stuck"

  • Life transitions, identity, and finding direction

  • Self-esteem, perfectionism, and people-pleasing

  • Emotional regulation and coping

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship and communication concerns

  • Body image and disordered eating

  • Emotional eating and binge-eating patterns

  • Nutrition and the relationship between food, mood, and mental health

  • Digestive health and the gut-brain connection

  • Adjusting to GLP-1 medications and changes in appetite, eating, or body image

  • Chronic health concerns and the mind-body connection

  • Sustainable health and behavior change

  • Integrating faith, spirituality, or personal values into therapy when desired

Couples Counseling

Cassandra also works with couples who want to better understand one another, communicate more effectively, navigate conflict, and strengthen their connection. Couples counseling may be helpful for partners navigating recurring communication patterns, major life transitions, differences in values or backgrounds, premarital concerns, trust and intimacy, health-related stressors, or simply wanting to build a healthier and more intentional relationship.
