Goodbye razors, hello laser!

Introducing the Soprano Titanium

The Soprano Tiatanium’s patented SHR technology works by gradually conducting heat through the hair shaft and follicle to cause thermal damage to the follicle. This means that hair follicles don’t have to be exposed to a single pulse of high energy, which can injure the skin and cause increased patient discomfort.

How it Works

The Soprano removes unwanted hair by targeting the melanin (pigment) within the hair follicle and heating it up to the point of damage.* Designed specifically for laser hair removal, this advanced laser can yield favorable outcomes on virtually any part of the body. The Soprano can be used to remove hair on the legs, chest, arms, back, arm pits, bikini area and more. Laser hair removal treatments with the Alma Titanium provide outcomes that are long lasting.

Is the Soprano Safe?

Unlike earlier laser technologies, the Soprano is safe for all skin types. Many earlier laser technologies for hair removal can cause skin discoloration, especially in patients with darker skin tones. The unique technology behind the Soprano allows for safe hair removal treatments for all skin types, and hair removal can be performed any time of year.

When administered by expert providers, laser hair removal with the Alma Soprano is a safe procedure. Some patients may experience mild redness or skin sensitivity after the procedure. However, these side effects are typically mild, and do not cause noticeable discomfort.

With special cooling technology built into the laser, the Soprano makes the treatment comfortable and prevents damage to healthy tissues.

What to Expect During Treatment

When you come in for your Alma Soprano laser hair removal, your provider will first shave the hair on the treatment area. This is an important step during the process, to avoid heating the hair on the surface on the skin, as that could cause skin damage.

After the surface hair has been shaved off, a special gel will be applied to the skin, which will help keep the skin cool and allow your provider to move the laser device on the treatment area more easily.

Before the actual laser treatment starts, your provider will give you protective eyewear, and will then begin gently moving the laser across the treatment area. It is common to hear a beeping sound during this process, which indicates the laser has been turned on. The duration of the treatment session will depend on the size of the treatment area.

The typical laser hair removal patient will need 5-8 treatment sessions, spaced approximately 6-8 weeks apart, to target all of the hair follicles in the treatment area. Multiple treatment sessions are necessary because hair on the body grows in cycles, and while some follicles may be growing hair, others may be in a resting phase. Because the laser targets melanin in the hair, the follicle must be in a growth phase in order to be targeted effectively.
